Weight Restrictions
Weight restrictions apply to all flights. Each helicopter manufacturer has a limit of overall takeoff weight for the helicopter;

• Our Robinson R44's have an operational weight per seat limit of 115kg max  
• Our Robinson R22's have an operational weight per seat limit of 95kg max

If you are above the operational weight limit please contact us.

Please note, if your nominated weight exceeds our operational max weight, we reserve the right to refuse the booking.

Weather
Due to the unpredictable nature of weather, we reserve the right to cancel, postpone, shorten or alter any flight due to weather. Weather includes, but is not limited to; rain, thunderstorms, strong winds and wind gusts, reduced visibility due to rain, fog, smoke or haze and high temperatures. Our highest priority is the safety of our passengers. 

Helicopter Serviceability
Our helicopters are maintained to the highest possible standards by Licensed Aviation Mechanical Engineers. However there are instances where a helicopter is required for regular servicing or deemed unserviceable by the Pilot or our Mechanical Engineers. This may reduce the availability or delay your helicopter booking.

Controlled Airspace
At our Essendon Airport Base our helicopters operate in controlled airspace. As such we require a clearance from Air Traffic Control before we can take off and land. Although it is rare, sometimes due to Air traffic contro, the flight path may differ from what has being described or there may be delays.

Gift Vouchers / Gift Certificates
Heli Adventure Gift Vouchers/Certificates are valid for a period of 6 months from date of issue. Heli Adventure Gift Vouchers/Certificates are not redeemable for cash. Heli Adventure Gift Vouchers/Certificates can be upgraded. If a gift certificate has been fraudulently changed or altered it will be deemed to be invalid. Please allow 3 working days for your Heli Adventure Gift Vouchers/Certificates.

Lost Gift Vouchers/Cards/Certificates
Heli Adventure Gift Vouchers, Gift Certificates and Gift Cards shall be treated as cash and if lost or stolen cannot be replaced or redeemed.

Special Offers
Melbourne Helicopters has from time to time a number of special offers. Please note that only one special offer can be used at any one time and consolidation of "special offers" is not accepted.

Passenger Safety
Melbourne Helicopters reserves the right to cancel or terminate any flight if a passenger is deemed a threat to the safety of the aircraft or other passengers and crew.

Cancellation Policy
Flights canceled by pilot due to weather or other circumstances will be rescheduled. Customers will be notified as timely as possible via the appropriate means. Customers wishing to cancel or reschedule  a flight must advise Melbourne Helicopters or the Subsidiary company within 48 hours. Should a client advise a weight variance of more than 10%, the right is reserved to cancel and no refund will apply.

Infants Rate/Policy
For safety reasons, we restrict flights for children to be 3 years or older and must be seated in their own seats.  Any child under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Minimum Passenger Numbers
Bookings on some tours will be conditional upon a ‘minimum two passengers” per selected flights. City Scenic flights are flown dependent on demand. Instances where passenger numbers are insufficient to economically run flights, we reserve the right to cancel and reschedule to an alternate day.

Corporate
All flights are conducted by Helicopter Training Pty Ltd (Air Operators Certificate No: VT 1-UO43-05), a fully owned subsidiary of Melbourne Helicopters Pty Ltd

Payment & Reservations
All reservations will only be held, if full payment has been received in Australian dollars, unless credit facilities have been previously arranged. To secure your booking all services and products must be paid in full and advance of the service or activity. As such payments will be processed at time of booking or as soon as possible thereafter.

Special Needs
So we can accommodate any special needs, please ensure any relevant medical conditions are known to the booking agent.

Competitions

Rules and terms of Entry:
Melbourne Helicopters and its subsidiary company’s reserve the right to withdraw or cancel a competition at any stage.
Entrants must be 18 years of age or have consent to enter the competition from a parent or guardian.
